Top 10 Tuesday || Books That Make You Smile! ||

Hello wonderful readers and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

This week’s topic is Books Guaranteed to Put a Smile On Your Face

The first thing that came to mind for this prompt was Terry Pratchett. I haven’t got very far with this series yet as I am still buddy reading them in order and we are up to Mort. These books are full of one-liners that are sure to make you smile if not laugh out loud.

Although I didn’t love this book as a mystery I did love the characters and the humour. I smiled pretty much the entire way through this book!

This book is one of the most special books I have ever read. It made me feel so happy and I recommend it to anyone who needs a book that makes them feel like they are being wrapped in a big warm hug!

One day I might do a TTT that doesn’t include Harry Potter. It just seems to be that this book fits with every prompt. It is a series that has everything. Magic, humour, adventure. If this doesn’t make you smile then I don’t know what will!

If the gorgeous cover doesn’t already put a smile on your face then reading this stunning Asian inspired fantasy should do the trick!

This coming of age novel gave me so much more than I expected. It is extremely relatable and absolutely hilarious. Brilliantly written, sure to make you smile!

This is the third book in the series and I haven’t gotten around to reading the first two yet but I just felt like it needed to be included. A very Pratchett style fairy tale with characters you know but not as you know them. Hilarious!

This is probably one of the most gorgeous, atmospheric novels I have ever read. Although the plot is not particularly strong the descriptions of the Circus itself are so vivid that you almost feel like you are there. I know I would be smiling all the way through a visit to Les Cirque des Rêves.

Although this is a difficult and heart-breaking read it is also uplifting, hopeful and brilliantly funny.

Last but certainly not least! Away with the Penguins is brilliantly funny and just makes you feel so good!

And that’s all for this week’s top 10 Tuesday! Have you read any of these books? Share your thoughts in the comments!
