This weekly meme was started by @Lauren’s Page Turners and it invites you to pick a book from your TBR and explain why you want to read it. Easy peasy!

I have a huge “want to read” list on goodreads at the moment so ill be using a random number generator to pick one from the list to talk about. So without further ado….

The magic number is 535! Which means that the featured book this week is  A Patchwork Family by Cathy Bramley. Currently rated 4.29 based on over 1300 reviews and was published in March 2020.

Love, friendship and family come in all different shapes and sizes…

Gina has been going with the flow for years – she’d rather have an easy life than face any conflict. She runs her childminding business from her cottage at the edge of The Evergreens, a charming Victorian house and home to three octogenarians who have far too much fun for their age.

But when The Evergreens is put up for sale, Gina and the other residents face losing their home. To protect her business and save her elderly friends from eviction, Gina must make a stand and fight for the first time in her life.

As Gina’s ideas for saving The Evergreens get bigger and bolder, she starts to believe it might just be possible. The only thing is, does she believe in herself?

Reasons I want to read;

I really like these cute, contemporary romances and have so many on my tbr because they are just so much fun and make you smile. I don’t read them as much as other genres but anytime I need something to make me feel warm and happy inside I reach for something like this. The covers are always so pretty and bright too which is probably another reason why I end up with so many of them on my bookshelf! One thing I really like about this one is the three elderly characters who are having far too much fun for their age. I absolutely love characters like that so this one is sure to have me chuckling I’m sure!

Have you read this or is it on your tbr? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
