|| Life in Books Book Tag ||

Hey everyone! I was tagged this morning by Kimmie in the “This or That Book tag” but I had actually already done that one a little while ago and so I decided to do another one that I saw on her blog and really wanted to take part in! If you haven’t already visited this lovely ladies blog make sure you go do that for lots of wonderful reviews and other awesome bookish things.

We don’t who the original creator is so if it’s you or you know who it is, please let us know. We want to give them credit.

Let’s get started.

1.) Find a book for each of your initials.

My initials are L R

2.) Count your age along your bookshelf – what book is it?

I have a gorgeous hardback edition of this that I really want to read (story of my life, I know). Hopefully ill get to it soon!

3.) Name a book set in your city/country.

Oh god. The book that immediately came to mind for this one is A Kestrel for a Knave by Barry Hines.

I was born and bred in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and when I was at school we had to read this book and watch the adaptation more times than I care to recall. I absolutely hated this book but it is set where I live and so apparently we must love it?!

4.) Name a book that represents a destination you’d love to travel to.

The Scottish Highlands! Absolutely beautiful. If I could fall back in time and get my own Jamie I would be totally okay with that.

5.) Name your favourite childhood book.

I had so many beloved books. A series I will always remember fondly will be The Famous Five by Enid Blyton.

6.) Name a book that’s your favourite colour.

I haven’t read this one yet but I love purple and how gorgeous is this cover?

7.) Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

Harry Potter! I know you guys are probably sick of seeing mention of this series on my blog but I don’t even care. I love it!

8.) Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

The first book in the Lord John Grey series. I really, really struggled with this and was so disappointed to end up DNFing it. It just wasn’t anything like the Outlander books and wasn’t my thing at all.

9.) Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?

I’ve been putting off reading this for so long! This book is huge and I will feel SO accomplished when I finally do get around to reading this monster.

And, that’s it for this tag, thanks for reading guys and if you want to take part yourself make sure to link back so I can see your answers!

  1. I love your answers!! Great picks!! I loved the Harry Potter books too but I didn’t read them until I was in my 30s so I didn’t count it. 😀

  2. Love your answers. I haven’t read Kestrel for a knave but really hated the film 😬 love Barnsley – many happy working memories at Dearne FM 😊

    1. Yay! You definitely should, it’s a good one to do! Did you ever watch the TV adaptation they made of The Famous Five? I was obsessed with that as well!
