Good morning everyone and welcome to another Tag Tuesday! In honour of the beautiful Spring weather we’ve been having here in the UK I decided to take part in the Spring Clean tag this week!

I saw this tag done by @dinipandareads and if you are not already following then what are you waiting for?!

The creator of the Spring Cleaning Book Tag is Amanda @ Between the Shelves.

The Rules

  • Link back to the original post
  • Tag as many friends as you want
  • Have fun!
1. GETTING STARTED: A BOOK SERIES YOU’VE BEEN WANTING TO READ

I’ve wanted to read this series for so long that it’s actually a bit embarrassing. I own the first two books but I am kind of sort of scared of reading them because there is so much hype and I am a bit scared of not liking them! It has been compared so many times to ACOTAR and I love that series so much so that could be a good or a bad thing because I’d love it if it had the same vibes but if it felt like it was just copying then I would be a bit irked!

2. CLEANING/ORGANIZING THE CLOSET: THE BEST WAY TO ORGANIZE BOOKS

Up until recently my bookshelves were actually a hot mess. There were books literally anywhere they would fit, no order to them apart from trying to keep series together where possible. It was just a disgrace really and such an eye sore! A few weekends ago I took everything off and reorganised by colour and now I think they look totally amazing!

 3. GETTING RID OF UNNECESSARY THINGS: BOOK/SERIES YOU NO LONGER NEED

I’ve been doing a weekly “Down the TBR Hole” meme on my blog for a while now and that has been really great for getting rid of books that are realistically never going to get read. A huge series that comes to mind that was recently culled was The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. It’s not that I don’t think ill like this series but I just really can’t see myself ever getting around to it.

4. GET SOME AIR: YOUR FAVORITE LIGHT-HEARTED READ

Oh, this is an easy one! The House in the Cerulean Sea is by far my favourite light-hearted read ever. I only recently discovered and read this one and I swear I did not stop smiling/laughing the whole way through. If you haven’t read this one yet then I highly, highly recommend it.

5. CLEAN OUT THE KITCHEN CUPBOARDS: FAVORITE FOOD-THEMED READ

Tough question! I actually do not read many books about food at all but one that immediately comes to mind is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

6. DUST THE SHELVES: WHAT’S THE FIFTH BOOK ON YOUR BOOKSHELF?

If we assume we are working from the top left then the fifth book on my shelf is The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. What an amazing book this was. If you haven’t read it then you really, really need to.

7. WISHING FOR THE END: A 2021 RELEASE YOU’RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT

There are so many that I am excited about but these are just a handful of books released/releasing this year that I can’t wait for!

8. LONG BUT SATISFYING: THE LONGEST BOOK SERIES YOU’VE READ.

I think technically the longest series I have ever read is probably Enid Blyton’s Famous Five books (I really loved them when I was a kid). Other than that then probably Sarah J Maas’s Throne of Glass, that was an epic series and one of my all time favourites!

That’s all folks! Hope you enjoyed reading my answers to this tag. I am not going to tag anyone specifically as I think a lot of my friends have already done this one and so if you like this tag and want to do it then consider yourself tagged! Be sure to link back to this post so that I can read your answers!

  1. This was fun to read! I also just learned about Enid Blyton’s series in another book that referenced them, so I laughed to see them mentioned. Funny how you start noticing those things!

  2. Your bookshelves look great! My books are very much not organised at all so it is definitely aspirational haha.

I totally agree about the Dresden Files series. I’d planned on reading it years ago and recently realised I never would and had no intention to, either! Getting rid of things on lists is very much spring cleaning appropriate!
