♥ Sunday Update ♥

Hi bookworms, happy Sunday! I hope you are all safe, well and enjoying your weekend so far.

So this update is going to be a little bit different to my usual ones and a little bit shorter too.

I have taken pretty much the whole weekend away from social media and blogging in general so to those of you who have noticed my silence these past few days I am sorry and I am still here!

I feel like since starting this blog a lot of wonderful things have happened that I never expected. I have been able to connect with so many amazing and likeminded people, read so many more books and have generally felt really positive and have been having a lot of fun with it.

There’s a but coming though.

I am burning out.

I have been putting a tonne of pressure on myself to make sure that I am posting something on my blog everyday, posting a photo on my booksta, updating all my socials, working, sorting the kids, keeping the house clean, walking the dog and now the gyms are open again fitting my swimming sessions in too and it’s just feeling like too much.

I know that many of you will have felt the same way and I guess I just wanted to post this to get it out there. I know I am not alone in feeling this way and if you are feeling it too, neither are you! It’s ok to take a break, it’s ok not to post something if you don’t have anything to post.

I am going to try to slow things down a bit going forward and not put so much pressure on myself because I have definitely seen this weekend how much things have been neglected because of time spending blogging and on socials. I’ll still be here posting regularly but not everyday.

I’ll be focusing a bit more on reviews and discussions and less on weekly memes. I hope that my followers will enjoy reading my posts going forward and that it will give me more time to do more blog hopping and of course reading without neglecting other areas of my life. As always thank you for reading my blog, you guys really are the best!

  1. I’ve been feeling the beginnings of burnout myself this month and I’ve planned out next month so that I post a little less content. I’m hoping that’ll let me take time for myself and not stress myself out on blogging stuff 😅

Hope you are okay, Lou! Take care of yourself!

    1. Aww thank you! I’m sorry you are feeling the same. Honestly if I didn’t have to work I think I could just about manage to fit it all in so all I need to do is figure out how to get money without working 🤣🤣🤣

  2. I totally understand the burn out feeling when it comes to posting. I feel the same a lot and usually have to take a step back for a while. It’s hard sometimes, especially when you feel like you have to do so much and you’re ignoring other things or not putting enough effort in other things your life too. Taking little breaks is nice though and helps. <3
