|| Tag Tuesdays || Meet The Blogger Book Tag ||

Hello everyone and welcome to another Tag Tuesday! Yep, I am still working through my bookmark folder full of tags and like my tbr it just seems to get longer and not shorter!

This week I am taking part in the Meet the Blogger tag and I was tagged by Hannah if you are not already following her blog then head on over, check it out!

Nominated bloggers can nominate up to ten other bloggers.

Use the same questions from the tag.

Who is your all-time favourite book character?

Hard question to start off with! There are so many amazing characters it is difficult to choose but one who comes immediately to mind is Rhysand from ACOTAR. I try so hard not to mention that book in every post on my blog but you guys know how much love I have for that series! Rhys is a really complex character and I just love the way he is developed throughout the books. There are a lot of surprises and I just think he is amazing.

If you were stranded on a desert island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)

I assume that I would be stranded on this island for quite some time and so my brain immediately thinks that I would need a long book to occupy myself so I would probably go with Outlander because it is really long but I love it and can’t get enough of Jamie and Claire!

What’s your most unpopular book opinion?

I really didn’t like The Tattooist of Auschwitz. There, I said it. I was really excited to read that book because everyone said it was so amazing and I love historical fiction especially WW2/Holocaust and so this was so up my street. I was so angry when I finished it because it was just so flat. I still can’t believe I managed to read an entire book about Auschwitz and not cry. It was badly written, emotionless and just not good. There. I said!

What’s your weirdest bookish habit?

I don’t know if it’s actually weird but I do spend a lot of time touching, holding and smelling my books. I also talk about characters like they are real, all the time.

What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?

I want to say Rhysand again but I hate that I have already used him once! Damn he would make a good fake partner… real partner even. I would have him in a heartbeat!

What made you decide to start a book blog?

I decided to start blogging as a way of getting my thoughts out there about the books that I had read. I never actually expected that people would read or care much about what I wrote so the fact that I have met so many likeminded people since starting this blog has just been awesome.

What about reading and books do you love the most?

It’s hard to describe the feeling of meeting new characters and travelling to a whole new world in your head that someone has poured their heart and soul into. I have always loved to read, it is my happy place and it always will be.

What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?

I work from home doing web based live chat which is great for me because I can work to my own schedule and be at home when my kids need me. It is tough to be freelance though and I struggle a lot with my motivation sometimes. I don’t know what I wish I were doing though as work to me has always just been a way of putting food on the table. I really wish someone would just pay me to read my books. A girl can dream right?

What are some book recommendations that became your favourites/obsessions?

Someone recommended The Selection to me and that was an obsession as I was reading it. I genuinely read all the books and the novellas in about 5 days. I was completely addicted and didn’t do anything else. That was right at the start of the first lockdown in 2020.

What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?

Definitely A Court of Thorns and Roses. Look at that I’ve mentioned it 3 times just in one tag! It is one of my favourite series ever and I am constantly throwing it into the faces of anyone who hasn’t read it!

I nominate:

And anyone who would like to have a go!
