Hi everyone and welcome to my April TBR post!

It is such a great time of year here in the UK with the longer days, lighter nights and of course the warmer weather!

I have a bit of a weird line-up of books on my pile for this month. I have The Burning God to finish so that’ll be the first read of the month. The Poppy War series has become a firm favourite of mine and I can’t wait to see how it all ends. I am also going to try to read The Priory of the Orange Tree as I did attempt to listen to the audiobook but I just wasn’t getting along with it so if I have the time I am hoping to squeeze that one in as well.

I have a few backlist reads that I want to get ticked off the list as well as a few brand new releases that I am really looking forward to as well.

I’m also finally getting started on the Discword novels and I am starting by buddy reading The Colour of Magic with the wonderful Lynn so do go check out her blog if you are not already following her!

If you like the look of any of these books I have shared the Goodreads links a bit further down.

  1. Such a nice mix for April! All of these, aside from the Night Circus that I read previously, are all on my TBR, too – maybe not in April, but at least my 2021 one haha. I hope you enjoy them all and I can’t wait to read your thoughts on each! 😀

    1. Thank you! It took me so long to decide what to put on the list because I definitely wanted a good mixture of different types and not all just new releases. I didn’t overcommit myself on blog tours this month either so it will hopefully feel a lot more relaxed!

  2. I’ve been seeing Mirrorland everywhere lately so I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of that! I started that Brigid Kemmerer series and liked it, but I still haven’t read past the first book yet.

    1. I’ve seen it a lot as well and I am doing the blog tour for it later in the month so I am really excited to see what it’s all about. I have the first two Cursebreaker books from the library so I imagine if I love them I am going to have to run around trying to get a copy of the 3rd book as I hate to leave series unfinished!

  3. Wow! A terrific list for April! My husband loves Terry Pratchett and has read all his books! The Night Cirucs and The Bear and The Nightgale are on my list to read as well. There seems to be some fantastic books out there – and as ever just not enough time for them all! Enjoy!

    1. I have never read a Terry Pratchett book but me and Lynn are just going to work our way slowly through them all month by month! It’s a big undertaking but I can’t wait to get started, they look like so much fun! You are so right about that. I really need more time!

  4. I love that you’re going to “squeeze in” an 800+ page book 😂 so many good reads for the month! Hope you have time to enjoy them all 😊

  5. Looks like a great selection! I loved Night Circus and Discworld, which I definitely need to revisit (though I have to say Colour of Magic is one of my least favourites so if you don’t get on with it, please give another a try before giving up on them all! But I hope you enjoy that one too!

  6. That is one great looking TBR! Priory and The Prison Healer are on my TBR as well. Sisters of the Snake sounds really good too. I hope you enjoy all of them!

  7. Can’t wait to see what you think of Bear and Nightingale. I tried to listen to it but could not get on with it so am going to get in ebook to have another go!
