Hello bookworms and welcome to my latest instalment of Down the TBR hole!

Down the TBR Hole is a weekly book meme created by the wonderful Lia @ Lost in a Story that attempts to organize our ridiculously long Goodreads TBR list by choosing either to keep or eliminate the books we’ve saved on there. Here’s how it works:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go

Hello, hello everyone and welcome to another instalment of Down the TBR Hole! It’s hard to believe that I’ve been doing these posts for 7 weeks already. Where does that time go? We are still looking at books that have been on my tbr for years and there’s definitely some interesting ones this week. Once again I have tried to be as harsh as possible with myself!

  1. Of the ones you kept, I’ve read and enjoyed All The Light We Cannot Sea, Cinder, Lilac Girls, The Darkest Minds, The Night Circus and The Raven Boys… Tiger Lily, Shatter Me and Daughter Of Smoke And Bone weren’t for me, but most do seem to love them (unpopular opinion curse struck again xD).

    1. I did note there were a LOT of books this week that are very popular so I am so surprised I’ve not read any of them! I hope ill get to them all pretty soon! I’m not sure how ill feel about Shatter Me x

  2. Ohh, you managed to toss quite a bit, though I would definitely still recommend The Diviners. The first three books in the series were so good! And on you keep one, yas to Smoke & Bone and Great Terrible Beauty, really enjoyed those books~ Hope you enjoy the books you kept.

    1. I was so torn on the diviners because I do think I will like it but I just don’t think I’ll get around to it anytime soon if ever 🤣🤣 if it’s meant to be I’m sure I’ll pick it up 🙈

      1. Haha, I can imagine that you may toss it off your list then, plus it is quite a chonker and if you aren’t sure to like it… Haha, maybe one day I will suddenly see a review of it pop up, and then I know. 😛

        1. The Toymakers is one of my favourite books ever! I just bought Paris by Starlight which is by the same author and am really excited to read that one too 🙂

  3. The Raven Boys — one of my fave series! I have only read one Lisa See book and enjoyed it but I don’t know when I might get around to other stuff by her… Good choices.

    1. I have the whole series of The Raven Boys on my shelf so hoping that I will get to it soon! Never read anything by Lisa See but the book really intrigued me so I couldn’t get rid of it!
